Gospel sung by the McNew family singers of Rockcastle County, Kentucky recorded during the early 1960s
These recordings feature, in varying combinations, the singing of siblings Walter, Astor, Bernice (Branaman), & Homer and their father, John G McNew A few are sung a capella but most are with organ or piano accompaniment The recordings were used on The Lifeline Hour radio program conducted by Rev Homer McNew on station WRVK in Renfro Valley, Kentucky John G McNew (1888-1968), was a fiddler, singing school teacher, and telegraph operator for the L&N Railroad in Rockcastle and Madison Counties in Kentucky
